2024/2025 Argentina Soy 2.6% Harvested

Soybean harvesting is beginning to spread nationwide with 2.6% harvested compared to 10.6% last year and 3% average with 27% of the late planted soybeans filling grain especially in the southern agricultural area.

In northern La Pampa and western Buenos Aires frost affected fields unevenly and the damage will be assessed in the coming days. The average soybean yield thus far is 3,540 kg/hectare (52.7 bu/acre) which is above expectations. Therefore, the soybean estimate was left unchanged at 48 million tons.

Below is the 2024/2025 Argentina soybean estimate for April 9, 2025 from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.

The soybeans are rated 21% poor/very poor, 42% fair, and 37% good to excellent. The good to excellent percentage increased 1% from the prior week. Soil moisture for soybeans is rated 27% short to very short, 72% favorable/optimum, and 1% saturated. The favorable/optimum percentage declined 15 points from the prior week.
